I could be wrong, but I'm guessing I have setting in CCleaner or MWB wrong. I don't think it was that which caused our current problem. (RAM was Patriot Signature 8GB DIMM DDR3 CL11 PC3-12800 (1600MHz) PSD38G16002 from Amz sold through Patriot Memory Store. We occasionally had to remove games he's downloaded (usually from Steam) since it our comp only had 6GB RAM so I finally splurged and got a little bit more RAM, which I installed 2 days ago. I didn't think of it much cuz kid's game still worked.and I've just been so busy. It's possible the neither of us have aaalllways followed that rule, especially after I splurged on Malwarebytes Pro recently. In the beginning.we got a refurb comp from Pcs4People and I've kept it up to date as best I could, using CCleaner & Malwarebytes, insisting my son never go to a website that's not hugely famous without running its URL through Virustotal first. I read somewhere that one shouldn't scan for rootkits, but that part is already checked, indicating it's already scanned that, no? I've had malwarebytes doing a custom scan and it's been scanning for over 17 hrs.and is currently still running as I type.
